Who We Are

We offer private behind the wheel driving lessons across Orlando. We teach new drivers of all ages, adults who need a refresher, people who are new to Florida roads, and company fleet drivers.

Every lesson takes place in an insured, dual control car, and we pick students up from home, work or school. Our lessons focus on defensive driving, because Central Florida roads are busy and the habits you build in your first lessons stay with you.

Why Choose Pinnacle Driver Safety

Parents, students and company drivers choose us for a few practical reasons.

Private lessons: It is just you and your instructor in the car for the full 90 minutes.
Lessons built around you: We start by asking about your experience, your worries and what you already know about Florida road laws and signs, then plan your lessons from there.
A written record: We note what each lesson covered, so the next one picks up where you left off. Students and parents can ask for a copy.
Dual control cars: Every training car has a second brake on the instructor’s side.
Road test preparation: We practice the skills the Florida road test checks, one at a time, until they feel familiar.

Good to know for teens: Since August 1, 2025, anyone under 18 who has never held a driver license must complete a 6 hour Driver Education Traffic Safety (DETS) course before applying for a Florida license. If you are not sure where you stand, call us and we will explain the steps.

Our Commitment to Students and Parents

We build our lessons around safety, convenience and good value.

Flexible scheduling
Lessons are available up to 7 days a week. The first lesson of the day starts at 9:00 am, and the last one starts at 4:30 pm. Earlier or later lessons may be possible, depending on daylight, weather and instructor availability.

Pickup and drop off
We collect each student from home, work or school, and bring them back safely when the lesson ends.

90 minute lessons
One hour is often too short to settle in, and two hours can be too long, especially for younger students. Ninety minutes gives you enough time to practice without getting tired.

Meet Your Instructor, Rakesh Sharma

Every Pinnacle lesson follows the standards set by our founder, Rakesh Sharma.

Rakesh Sharma is the founder of Pinnacle Driver Safety Orlando and a Florida State-licensed driving instructor. He teaches teenagers getting ready for their first license, adults who never had the chance to learn, seniors who want their independence back, and people who have just moved to Orlando and find the traffic overwhelming.

Most of his students arrive nervous. So he starts by asking what you already know and what worries you, and he moves on to the next step only when you are comfortable with the last one. Students and parents describe him in their Google reviews as patient, calm and professional.
